How early do I need to arrive at the station?
Eurostar operates like an airport, not a domestic train. You must pass through security, UK exit checks, and French/Schengen passport control before boarding. In 2026, it is highly recommended to arrive at least 60 to 90 minutes before your departure time (unless you hold a Premier ticket, which grants you fast-track access).
Can I take my bicycle on the Eurostar?
Yes, but rules apply. If your bike is fully dismantled and packed in a protective box/bag (max 135cm x 85cm x 30cm), it counts as one of your large pieces of luggage. If you want to travel with a fully assembled bike, you must use Eurostar’s Registered Luggage Service and pay a fee, which is currently only available on the London to Brussels route.
What happens if I miss my train?
Unlike domestic rail where you can just hop on the next train, Eurostar tickets are tied to a specific train and seat. If you miss your train due to your own delay, your ticket is voided, and you must purchase a new one.
