Celebrity Edge Reviews & Ratings: Is It the Right Cruise for You?
When the Celebrity Edge launched, it completely revolutionized the premium cruise market. Breaking away from traditional ship architecture, she introduced the world to the “Magic Carpet” (a floating cantilevered platform) and “Infinite Veranda” staterooms that erase the boundary between your room and the ocean.
In 2026, the Celebrity Edge is bringing her modern, resort-style luxury to two of the most beautiful regions on the planet: spending her summer in Alaska, before embarking on a massive transpacific journey down to Australia and New Zealand.

2026 Itineraries & Deployment Updates
Celebrity Edge splits her 2026 season between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres:
Onboard Experience: What to Expect
The Magic Carpet & Rooftop Garden
The Magic Carpet is an engineering marvel—a tangerine-colored platform that moves up and down the side of the ship. On deck 16, it serves as an exclusive specialty restaurant; on deck 2, it becomes the world’s most luxurious tender boarding platform. The Rooftop Garden is a living, breathing green space on the top deck, perfect for live acoustic music and sunset cocktails.
Infinite Verandas vs. The Retreat
Instead of traditional balconies, standard rooms feature Infinite Verandas: the entire back wall is glass, and with the push of a button, the top half slides down, turning your entire room into a balcony.
The Retreat: If you book a Suite, you unlock “The Retreat,” an exclusive ship-within-a-ship concept featuring a private sundeck, a dedicated lounge, and access to Luminae (a private restaurant).
Dining & Beverage Packages (Updated 2026)
Celebrity’s culinary program is widely considered the best in the premium cruise category.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Celebrity Edge
What is the Magic Carpet on Celebrity Edge?
The Magic Carpet is a cantilevered, floating platform attached to the starboard side of the ship. It moves between decks throughout the day, functioning as a bar, an extension of the pool deck, a specialty restaurant (“Dinner on the Edge”), or a highly efficient embarkation platform for tender boats.
Does Celebrity Edge have an indoor pool?
Yes. The Solarium on the Celebrity Edge features a beautiful, glass-domed indoor pool and hot tubs. It is an adults-only space, which is perfect for relaxing on colder Alaskan sea days.
Do Infinite Veranda windows open?
Yes. By pushing a button on your stateroom wall, the top pane of the floor-to-ceiling glass window slides down, essentially turning your entire cabin into an open-air balcony. Bi-fold doors can also be closed to separate the seating area from the bed.
